WEEK 4 : BRIEFING ON COURSE ASSESSMENT PLAN AND IDENTICATION PROBLEM FROM TREE AND HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM

Hello and good day!. I will be share with you guys the activities that we did every Friday for FPA200. We moved in large numbers to gather at the parking lot in front of the FPA's block. After that, we start our day like usual.

This is our nature work done for this day: (19/4/2024)

6.30am – 7.20am

  • All part 3 student gathered at the parking lot. After that, class repsentative took the attendance. All student do warmup activities before go to Agrotech.

7.30 am – 7.45am

  • All student gathered to Agrotech Plantation Site by classes.
  • Song the Negaraku, Wawasan Setia Warga UiTM and Planter’s Song.

8.00 am – 9.30 am

  • Briefing with Sir Fairuz and identify the main problem at Durian Plot.
  • Sir Fairuz give assignment to all student class 3B.
  • Student need took one row of durian tree that need to be takecare of.

(My row of durian trees, which is the tenth row out of seventeen, looks like this.)

TREE 1

PROBLEM ISSUES:
  •  The durian tree has an uneven ascent.
  • Insufficient fertilization causes stems to shrink despite having lots of leaves.
  • Because of the broken water supply line, the water system is malfunctioning.

SUGGESTIONS TO OVERCOME:

  • To make the tree grow more erect, tie the durian stem to a rigid, straight stem.

  • In order to make sure the tree is more fruitful and blooms more quickly, we must fertilize it every two weeks.

  • Ensure that the durian plot's water system is regularly inspected to make sure all of its parts are functioning as intended.

TREE 2

PROBLEM ISSUES:

  • The absence of fertilizer results in the leaves falling off and turning a faint yellow color.
  • The tree has a lot of branches that need to be trimmed.

SUGGESTION TO OVERCOME:

  • Nitrogen is one among the nutrients that durian plants often require. As a result, we must fertilize the tree with the ideal nitrogen ratio.

  • Requires extensive trimming in order to improve nutrient absorption

TREE 3 & TREE 5

(TREE 3)
(TREE 5)
PROBLEM ISSUES:

  • The durian trunk appears little due to the absence of fertilizer, and the tree appears small.
  • The Bena Putih insect is to blame for the yellowish color and tiny holes in the leaves (Nilaparvata lugens)
  • The durian tree was surrounded by tall grass that began to sprout.

SUGGESTION TO OVERCOME

  • Fertilizer needs to be applied every two weeks in order to make the tree more productive and encourage early flowering.
  • For the tree to absorb its natural nutrients, NPK fertilizer must be applied.
  • Removing trees to provide the trees direct access to water that is absorbed by the soil.

TREE 4 & TREE 6 & TREE 8

(TREE 4)
(TREE 6)
(TREE 8)

PROBLEM ISSUES:

  • The durian tree's limbs grow so densely that they tumble to the ground.
  • The durian tree's surrounding grass is beginning to grow, and it appears a little tall.

SUGGESTION TO OVERCOME
  • Using a branch trimming machine, tree trunks that are not sturdy enough to sustain the branches at the top need to be clipped.
  • To facilitate water absorption by the soil and subsequent tree uptake, tidy the space surrounding the tree.

TREE 7

(TREE 7)
(TREE 9)

PROBLEM ISSUES:
    • Pests from insects can damage the leaves and leaves turn yellow
    • Inadequate fertilization on the tree causes the tree to not flower.
    •   Leaves on each branch are few.
    SUGGESTION TO OVERCOME
    • To keep pests away, treat the leaves with poison (ALPHAGUARD).
    • Trees that are already large should be fertilized with a fruit booster to increase their fruit and bloom production.
    • The tree needs to be fertilized in order for the leaves to regrow and for photosynthesis to occur as efficiently as possible.

     TREE 10
    (DIED)
    • The durian tree vanished after reaching that row, leaving no trace of its presence, hence the cause of the dead tree remains unknown.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    • Advantages and Disadvantages care about the Durian tree.

    ADVANTAGES

    DISADVANTAGES

Reduces the Risk of Disease and Pests

    Decreased Fruit Production

    Higher Fruit Quality

    Spread of disease

    Better Fruit Production

    Crop Damage

    CONCLUSION
In conclusion, competent and planned management is crucial when it comes to the care of durian plants that are afflicted with numerous diseases and issues. Durian plants that are afflicted with several illnesses and issues require special care and prompt attention in order to recover. Here are a few key points. As an illustration Identifying Causes, for Instance Determining the origins of illnesses and other issues faced by durian plants is crucial. A few examples of these could include unfavorable farming techniques, pest infestations, nutritional deficits, or environmental variables. Furthermore, Planned Treatment, Developing a precise and well-thought-out treatment plan comes next when the reason has been determined. This could entail regular monitoring, optimal nutrition, pest and disease control, and suitable trimming.

     NEXT ACTIVITY SUGGESTIONS

    TYPE OF WORK :

DO CIRCLE WEEDING ON THE SELECTED DURIAN PLOT LINE.

    EQUIPMENT NEEDED :

    • Bearing lawn machine (1unit) (if available)
    • Hoe (2 unit)
    • Straw hat
    • Glove
    • Boots

    REQUIRED INPUTS:

    • Petrol oil (1 Liter)
    •  2T oil (10ml)
    • Nylon rope (3 sets)

    OBJECTIVES:

    •  The weeds in our rows appear short, tidy, and well groomed.
    •  Encourage the soil's uptake of water
