(additional knowledge during rollcall)

“why dry cocoa beans on the market nowdays expensive?”

1.Supply and Demand Dynamics: Dry cocoa beans can be expensive due to fluctuations in supply and demand. Factors like weather conditions, disease outbreaks, and geopolitical issues in major cocoa-producing regions can affect supply, leading to price hikes.

2. Quality Standards: High-quality cocoa beans command a premium price. Beans with superior flavor profiles, larger sizes, or specific certifications (like organic or fair trade) often come at a higher cost due to the additional care and resources required during cultivation and processing.

3. Processing and Transportation Costs: The process of drying cocoa beans requires specific equipment and expertise, which can add to production costs. Additionally, transporting cocoa beans from remote growing regions to marketplaces around the world involves expenses related to logistics, storage, and shipping, contributing to their overall price

8.30 – 10.00 AM

Move to the durian plot and started the activity

10.00 – 10.30 AM

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

ADVANTAGES OF DOING CIRCLE WEEDING

  1. Weed Control: Eliminates weeds around durian trees, reducing competition for nutrients and sunlight.

  2. Nutrient Conservation: Preserves soil nutrients for durian tree growth and development.

  3. Moisture Retention: Helps retain soil moisture by reducing water competition from weeds.

  4. Pest and Disease Management: Minimizes habitats for pests and diseases, promoting healthier durian trees and reducing reliance on pesticides.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, implementing circle weeding in a durian plot offers significant benefits for overall crop health and yield. By effectively controlling weeds, conserving nutrients, retaining soil moisture, and managing pests and diseases, circle weeding contributes to the successful cultivation of durian trees. This practice not only ensures optimal conditions for durian tree growth and fruit production but also promotes sustainable agricultural practices by reducing the need for chemical inputs. Overall, circle weeding emerges as a valuable technique for enhancing productivity and sustainability in durian cultivation.
