WEEK 11:  DO PESTICIDE WITH CUKA AKAR

  Greetings my fellow planters and readers! It's already the eleventh week of our field work and for this week we have another activities that might pique your interest which will called sparay pesticide.

NATURE OF WORK DONE

Time	Decription
6.40 - 8.00 am	All part 3 student gathered at the parking lot. After that, class repsentative took the attendance. All student do warm up activities before go to Agrotech. All student gathered to AgrotechPlantation Site by classes. We need to sing the Negaraku, Wawasan Setia Warga UiTM and Planter’s Song
8.30 am	Me and classmate took equipment from the store. Example of item we need to take are pesticide sprays, gloves , apron and mask. Then we move to the durian plot to complete the planned task.
8.35-9.30 am	Sir Fairuz brought wood vinegar for us to spray near the durian tree.  In addition, Sir Fairuz also explained how to use the liquid, in terms of mixing, what ratio should be used to start spraying on trees. We use a ratio of 1: 200 (ie 100-200ml of wood vinegar + 20 liters of water).  The way to use it is that we have to spray it on the leaves and tree trunks, Sir has reminded us not to spray the liquid until the water drips onto the ground. Sir also reminded us to spray inside the canopy before doing outside the canopy. But unfortunately, when my classmates and I wanted to start mixing to poison, En Khairul (UiTM plantation assistant) came to our plot and told us that we don't need to spray pesticides because the weather at that time was cloudy and might rain. we need to follow the instructions that have been given. With that, Sir Fairuz told us to put back the tools we had taken. And this activity needs to be done again next week.

OBJECTIVES:	Apply targeted pesticide treatment to mitigate pest infestations and protect the health and yield of durian trees.

TYPE OF WORK :	do circle weeding
EQUIPMENT NEEDED :	Bearing lawn machine (1unit) (if available) Hoe (2 unit) Straw hat Glove Boots
REQUIRED INPUTS:	Petrol oil (1 Liter)  2T oil (10ml) Nylon rope (3 sets)
OBJECTIVES:	To control weeds around durian trees for improved growth and yield.
